Had to renovate and update a part of my office for students and fellows. New desks and chairs with new paint on the wall make a huge difference in the room. We are ready for a new start and a new year.
Our R01 finally transferred to UT Dallas.
I requested the transfer at the end of August and a notice of award is now active. The transfer took three months - as the NIH guideline suggested. I am still waiting on our R21 to transfer; I suspect this will take a bit longer.

8 year anniversary

New Course Offering in the Spring
I am offering a new graduate level course on Epigenetics in the Spring 2015 (advanced undergraduates are welcome). I am looking forward to presenting recent advances in this exciting field of biology and to participating in exciting discussions with the students about the current developments and what might lie ahead.
